    Principal's Message

    Dear Montclair Cavaliers,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you, especially the Class of 2022, to Montclair High School! As the new principal of Montclair High School, I am extremely excited to have started the 2018- 2019 school year with you.  It has been an incredible start to our school year, and I am looking forward to seeing our students continue to shine in their academics, on the field, activities and in the arts. It is our commitment to continue to strive for excellence and to provide every opportunity to our students for success.

Students, I challenge you to maintain the focus and determination to your success this school year. To be completely committed to the goals you have set for yourself as of Day 1; as we as a staff are committed to support you along the way. There is an array of opportunities for you to stay on track. Please attend our CAP Saturday School program, and MAST (Montclair After School Program) if you need additional academic support. Take full advantage of your 3rd period CAV Academy class to receive the extra help you need or to help mentor/tutor someone else.

Cavaliers, this school year we are focused on continuing to prepare students for college and career. The State of California is implementing a new school accountability system, and if you’d like, please visit the following link for more information: You will find that our school is doing great things!

Parents, I too ask for your partnership and support to work together as a team to support your student. We have an exceptional staff at MHS, one that teaches from the heart and strives to support every student. Parents, I encourage you to stay connected with your students’ progress via our School Loop program and to reach out to us with any support you may need. Together we will ensure that your child is successful. There are many opportunities for you too to become involved on our campus. Please visit our Parent Resources tab to learn more about these opportunities located in our Parent Center.

I would like to invite you to attend our Back to School Night on Monday, August 20th. I look forward to seeing you there as we continue to celebrate the start of a brand-new school year!

I am extremely thankful to our community, parents, students, staff and coaches for their endless contributions and dedication to our school. It is you that makes all the difference, and what makes Montclair High School exceptional!

    Proud to be a CAVALIER,

    Charlene Saenz
