    Principal's Message

    Cavaliers,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year, Cavs, I look forward to another successful year! We have so much to be proud of, we are a US News and World Report Silver Medalist, an Avid National Demonstration School, a Title 1 Academic Achievement School and are recipients of The Golden Bell and Gold Ribbon School Awards. We at Montclair High School are committed to prepare you for college and career. You will have many opportunities to be college ready upon graduation, ensuring you are on track with A-G requirements and maintaining grades of a C or above. You will also have opportunities to be career ready through the many skills you will learn in your classes as well as career exploration, internships, and ROP programs available to you.

I hope you are having an enjoyable summer. School will begin on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. I encourage you to begin the school year focused and determined to be successful.  We will support you any way that we can to ensure you accomplish your goals! Families please review the Registration Information for the 2019-2020 school year. This schedule will help you identify the day (by grade level) you need to attend MHS to turn in all documents and pick up your schedules.

Class of 2023 you have a few important days to pay close attention to. Aside from your registration day you also have an Orientation you must attend. (All dates above that pertain to your grade are by alpha by last name.) This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about our school, begin to make new friends and build relationships with your Link Crew Leaders. Your Link Crew Leaders will be with you as you embark upon your freshmen year; helping you, supporting you, and cheering you on every step of the way!

Freshmen parents please attend our Freshman Parent Orientation on August 1st or August 2nd (by alpha depending on your last name outlined above). This is an important day for you as well. It is an opportunity to learn about all of the opportunities that Montclair High School has to offer and support your students.

I am extremely honored to be your principal and work with you, to help you in any way that I can. I am thankful to our teachers, coaches and staff who pour their heart into our students and will continuously go above and beyond to support them. I am also thankful for the strong partnership we have with our community and parents and I look forward to continuing to work together this upcoming school year.  If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact our school at (909) 621-6781.

We are one city, and one high school, We Are Montclair!

    Your Proud Principal,

    Ms. Charlene Saenz

New Guaranteed Admissions Agreement Signed With CBU!

Mathew Holton, Superintendent, and California Baptist University Provost, Dr. Charles Sands, recently signed our newest admission agreement! All CJUHSD graduates who meet the mutually agreed upon admission requirements, will be able to enroll and attend this progressive university. One of the amazing highlights of this agreement is the commitment of CBU to provide a minimum of $8,000 per academic year in combined scholarships and grants to all our students! We are very excited to provide this opportunity for our students to attend this university in Riverside, California. This agreement, along with the previous agreements with Cal State San Bernardino, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Bakersfield, University of Redlands, University of La Verne, Azusa Pacific University, and Grand Canyon University continue to provide an advantage to the students of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District to pursue their dreams for the future!
