Dear Cavalier Parents and Students, I can’t believe we are entering the final weeks of school. This is the time of year we celebrate student achievement on many different levels both in the classroom and athletics. There are many important activities in front of us and it’s important to finish strong. I am also very excited for the class of 2012, as they embark on their post high school endeavors. There will be many activities for our Class of 2012, beginning with our commencement ceremony. Our Commencement ceremony will be Wednesday, May 23rd. at 7:00 p.m. in MHS stadium. We will be on a minimum day schedule on that day. Some other Senior events to take note of are as follows: Farewell Rally, Friday, May 18, 3:00 PM. Main Gym We want our students to finish the year on an academic high note! At Montclair High School, we care about the academic success of every student and will continue to offer after-school tutoring and our Saturday CAP program to prepare them for finals. Please continue to monitor your student’s program through School Loop or directly communicating with their teachers and Counselors. Senior Finals Periods 1 and 6 – Thursday and Friday, May 17th and 18th Periods 2 and 4 – Monday, May 21st. Periods 3 and 5 –Tuesday, May 22nd.

AP Exam Schedule Advanced Placement (A.P.) Exams will be administered May 7-18. Any student who has taken an A.P. class is encouraged to take the exam. Scores will be provided to students in July. Please see schedule for individual exams. Summer School Summer school begins on Tuesday, May 29 and ends Thursday, June 28. I would like to take this opportunity take this opportunity to thank our Montclair Community for the incredible support it provides MHS on so many levels. It is has been a great year in the land of the Cavaliers. I am so proud to be the Principal of Montclair High School and I look forward to a great end of this school year.

It's Cool to Stay in School - New Car GiveawayThis year, Mark Christopher Auto Center will be giving away a brand new Chevrolet Cruze to a high school student who has maintained perfect attendance for the 2011-2012 school year. All students grade 9-12 who achieve perfect attendance will be invited to the dealership in May for the grand prize drawing where Mark Christopher will give away one brand new 2012 Chevrolet along with other great prizes such as TV’s, IPODS, XBOX, Visa Gift Cards, IPADS and Laptop Computers. All Montclair High School students that are enrolled at the beginning of the school year are eligible for this contest, so please attend school, each-and-every day. I hope to see one lucky and determined student driving this car next summer!
